Christina Sargent & Mike Roberts

Christina Sargent and Mike Roberts have lived at Wheems since 1986. In this time they have built up a working Organic Farm producing organic food for a local market in Orkney. Christina and Mike are both professionally trained artists.

Christina Sargent is a felt and print artist and is active leading schools' workshops in primary and secondary schools in Orkney. She is now concentrating on painting. There is a small galley of her work at Wheems. Christina is also a professional oboe player and teaches in all the woodwind instruments in schools and at home. Christina is one of the founders of the Orkney Camerata Chamber Orchestra.

Mike Roberts is an organic farmer and landscape architect working on ecological house design landscaping projects in Orkney.

Christina and Mike have a large grown-up family with children living in Orkney, Scotland, England, Australia and the USA.
